location map showing Streaky Bay (Environmental Association 4.2.8)

An undulating plain on calcarenite bounded on the coastline by steep cliffs or high dunes, lagoons and mangrove flats. The plains are mostly cleared to a grassland or open parkland but some areas of low mallee woodland and open heathland and shrubland remain. The dunes remain under a cover of heath. Areas of grassland and open parkland are used for cereal cultivation and livestock grazing, but the remainder is used only for extensive grazing.
