An undulating plain on calcreted sand with small areas of dunes. Outside the forest reserve the low cypress pine woodland has been cleared to a parkland on the dunes and a grassland on the plain. The land is mainly used for grazing with small areas of the plain used for cereal cultivation.
Middleground panoramas are the dominant views, but the road through the forest reserve provides a localized perspective view.
