Undulating calcreted plains with sand dunes and isolated granite hills, The plains and dunes are partly cleared but mostly remain under a mallee open scrub vegetation whilst the hills have a tall shrubland cover. The cleared areas are used for rotation cereal cultivation and grazing livestock but the remainder is used for extensive grazing only.
