Low silcrete-capped mesas, long footslopes with silcrete gibbers and occasional low rounded hills on shale. The cover is predominantly low chenopod shrubland or tall open shrubland with a grass understory and some tall grassland and fringing woodland. All are used for extensive livestock grazing.
