location map showing Hambidge (Environmental Association 4.3.7)

An extensive undulating plain with parallel dunes and occasional low inselbergs and with tidal flats and sand dunes on the coastal margin. Most of the plains and dunes have a cultural grassland cover but small remnants of open mallee scrub occur on the inselbergs. The grasslands are used for rotation cereal cultivation and livestock grazing and the open scrub for light grazing.
