Isolated calcarenite dune ridges forming low rises within broad stony plains on limestone. The Allendale plain carries an open parkland with a pasture understory grazed by beef cattle and coarse wool sheep. There are several areas of pine forest near Kongorong.
The association affords middleground panoramic views with pine plantations locally dominating features.
