Towitta (Environmental Association 2.4.4)

location map showing Towitta (Environmental Association 2.4.4)

An undulating plain on old alluvium and calcrete sloping gently to the east and shallowly dissected by ephemeral streams. Degraded mallee occurs in the north, whist in the centre and south the land has been cleared to an open parkland. Grazing and cereal cultivation are the main land use.

Middleground panoramas are dominated by the adjacent Mt. Lofty Ranges on the west. Locally, mallee road verges give perspective views.
