Tartwaup (Environmental Association 1.3.4)

location map showing Tartwaup (Environmental Association 1.3.4)

A gently undulating limestone plain with small areas of low, superimposed sand or calcarenite dunes. Pastures for intensive grazing of beef and dairy cattle, and pine plantations dominate the landscape. Some smaller areas are sown for cereals for feed crops and others are used for market gardening.

Views vary from detailed in the plantations to middleground panoramic in pastoral areas. Backdrop features are provided by pine plantations, and by the volcanic landforms of the Mt. Gambier association (1.3.5).
