An undulating to hilly plain, with sand dunes, swamps and low cliffs along the coastline. The plain and hills have a cover of open parkland with small areas of low woodland. The parkland is used for rotation cereal cultivation and livestock grazing and the woodland and open heath on the dunes for grazing livestock.
