Lake George (Environmental Association 1.1.2)

location map showing Lake George (Environmental Association 1.1.2)

Coastal plains and lagoons with small areas of consolidated calcarenite dunes, situated inland of the active coastal dune system of Beachport association. Most natural vegetation has been cleared and replaced by pasture grazed by beef cattle and coarse wool sheep.

The lagoons with the surrounding landforms and vegetation provide middleground enclosed views. Perspective views occur where the parallel dune ridges of the adjacent Beachport (1.1.1) and Woakwine (1.2.1) associations dominate the landscape.
