Marble Range (Environmental Association 4.1.13)

location map showing Marble Range (Environmental Association 4.1.13)

Steep quartzite ranges with gently sloping footslopes, fans and alluvial plains. The steeper slope of the ranges retain a cover of natural low open forest but the footslopes and plains have been cleared for cereal cultivation and livestock grazing on introduces pastures.

Foreground panoramic and perspective views featuring local stands of red gum woodland are characteristic of the lower sections of the association, whilst the ranges provide detailed views of rocks and vegetation. Background panoramic views can be obtained from vantage points in the ranges.
