A gently undulating sandy plain with isolated silcrete-capped rises and salt lakes. There is a complex cover of low open woodland, tall shrubland, tall open shrubland and open woodland all with an understory of chenopod shrubs, and low chenopod shrubland. All are used for extensive livestock grazing.
